The clue is in the name "high volume" Quick look at the Machine Mart catalogue shows the HVLP guns seem to require 3hp compressor and a bit pointless having one with a small tank so you are back to large tank which you say there isn't enough room in the garage.

What about a small tool type shed outside just to house a compressor? Obviously fence preservative is different to car paint but principal is the same so don't dismiss other makes of HVLP. Paul H.
